During these challenging times we understand the importance of regular communication and I would like to re-iterate that VOW Wholesale remains open for business and committed to supporting you and your business.
Below is a summary of some key changes we are having to implement as a business with effective dates;
- Price reduction on key hygiene lines effective immediately
As per our communication on Friday 20th March, we had to increase the pricing on a number of lines whereby we were struggling to maintain supply due to unprecedented demand. As promised, stock levels on the attached list of products have now returned to normal and as a result I am pleased to announce that the pricing on these lines has been reduced from yesterday (Tuesday 14th April) as committed. Please ask your VOW Wholesale contact for a list of these affected lines.
- Wrapide delivery charge increase effective from Monday 20th April
Currently across our business, VOW Wholesale is operating on a reduced headcount. This includes 22% of all full-time warehouse staff out of the business as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the Wrapide delivery fleet currently has 30% of drivers ill or self-isolating. Combined this has meant an increase in agency staff and costs across both the warehouse and transport fleet to fill this void and maintain our service levels to you.
With this reduced resource level continuing to increase, we have taken the decision to increase the Wrapide delivery charge by £1 for all customers effective from Monday 20th April.
As a business, VOW Wholesale is committed to our strategy of becoming the warehouse and wheels for our partners. As with the above pricing review we will ensure that when possible we reduce costs as soon as the situation improves and will be actively reviewing on a monthly basis.
- Q1 Growth rebate payments
Throughout Q1 the VOW Wholesale growth incentive was extremely successful and we saw great sales growth across many customers. However, as we move into what will be a challenging Q2 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision not to continue the incentive at this time.
VOW Wholesale are pleased to announce that payments will be made in relation to the Q1 growth incentive and your account contact will be in touch regarding this. We will also look to re-run similar incentives once the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us.
Once again, I would like to reassure you that VOW Wholesale remains committed to supporting you and your business during these difficult times. The changes that we are making are necessary to enable us to support you both now and in the future. We are very much open for business and value your continued custom and support.
Kind regards,
Adrian Butler
