Things to Remember When Placing an Order
Spot Colours
All personalised covers will be produced using four colour process printing. Please convert all PMS (Pantone) colours to CMYK within your supplied artwork prior to upload. If you wish to use a specific PMS colour on your cover, please contact vowpublications@precisionproco.co.uk for a bespoke quotation prior to order.
Text Only
Should you wish to bind your own catalogue covers for any of our catalogues, the inner pages can be supplied bound and untrimmed
Inside Covers
The standard inside covers provided in VOW Wholesale catalogues feature adverts from leading manufacturers, however you have the option to personalise these pages.
Bound Inserts
Inserts can be bound in the front or back of the Main Catalogue. You can provide your own inserts which can be accepted in either single leaves or folded section.
IMPORTANT: Please check with Vow Publications prior to production for full required specification.
Lamination
Gloss lamination on catalogue covers is provided free of charge. Please note this can sometimes affect the colours on the cover, making them appear lighter or darker. Be advised that matte lamination/darker covers are more likely to show any potential marks and scratches.
Binding
Due to the process undertaken during the binding of catalogues, inner pages often absorb moisture and the page size can increase by 1-2mm. This can give the visual appearance of a shrunken cover, due to the inner pages being slightly larger. We highly recommend that your catalogue cover artwork adheres to the appropriate publication specification sheet, available to download from the ordering portal, as we cannot guarantee exact page positioning.
The final catalogue trim size can vary by 1-2mm given the production process involved.
Supplying Artwork
Overprint Design
If you require an overprint, you can now manage this within our new ordering portal. You can save your overprint details and logo in your account settings and update them at any time. When you order your catalogue, you can add or amend your overprint details and logo in the artwork editor. If you require a plain cover, then you can leave these fields blank.
Bespoke Cover Artwork
If you wish to supply your own cover artwork, download the specification sheet from the ordering portal. Once your artwork is ready you can place your order via the portal and upload your artwork. You will have the option to upload an outer and inner cover, or you can upload just your own outer cover and use our standard inner cover artwork.
You will be shown an onscreen proof when placing your order, and you will have the opportunity to check and edit your cover artwork before completing your order. By confirming your order, you are approving your artwork for print.
IMPORTANT: You WILL NOT receive another proof. Please check your artwork carefully before submitting your order, as you will incur additional charges if a reprint is required.

Glossary of Terms
Overprint
Your company logo and details will be printed onto the area provided on a mailer or catalogue.
Binding
The catalogue inner pages and covers are printed separately before being bound together. Binding glue is applied to the spine of the inner pages so that the cover can be professionally attached.

Providing a PANTONE reference enables us to exactly reproduce your desired brand colour
